General
The central city-state of Eden is composed not of a single centralized government or even populace, but instead is a loose association of widely scattered minor states, villages and tribes. This coalition is as a result of the Amstrad Treaty, an agreement named for the region's economic and political leader, the flying city of Amstra. For the most part the individual states of the Alliance have their own localized governmental systems and policies, however the Amstrad Council convenes on a monthly or as needed basis to establish overarching policies and laws.
Geography
Amstra contains an incredibly diverse geography spread over an extremely vast region. For the most part however no one area contains all of the resources necessary for total independence. It is due to this disparity of natural resources that the region has become so well known for its merchants and traders. The city of Amstra in particularly well known as an economic hub, the metropolis's welfare entirely dependent upon trade with others.
Technology
The city of Amstra is considered to be the heart of technological advancement in Eden. Not only is the city itself a technological marvel, but the majority of innovations and advancements have come from her scientists, keeping the city alive via healthy trade with Edens other states. Though the city is known for much, it is in the area of airships that she is most famous. Though the aircraft have been used for centuries it is Amstra that has refined their production and made them practice; and with the Cataclysm, they are the only reliable means of transport across a shattered Eden.
